HMRC is, in 2011 and 2012, offering people a chance to come clean about income they haven't declared.  These campaigns are aimed at particular business sectors and further HMRC information on them is in the links below.

Tutors and coaches - act by 6 January 2012 - to register for Tutors Tax Catch-up Plan (TCP). More info here.

Ebay traders - HMRC has been gathering details of people selling via Ebay. In Spring 2012 they will offer a chance to come forward and declare the trade. Those that don't risk a tax investigation.  Early information here.

Electricians - having previously offered a form of tax amnesty to plumbers, now it's the turn of Electricians.  In February 2012 there will be an Electricians' Tax Safe Plan (ETSP). Early warning info here.

Anyone wanting to come clean before these campaigns launch officially can voluntarily disclose by calling HMRC 0845 601 5041

We advise people thinking about declaring undisclosed income to do so with professional help or at least advice.  See here.
